Cal. 30-06. S# 836101. 24" bbl marked on right side "S-A-5-51". This bbl is a replacement on a receiver mfg in the summer of 1942. Throat and muzzle gauge 1.0. T105E1 rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Trigger housing is marked "WRA", balance of parts including bolt are marked "SA". Milled trigger guard. Nice appearing walnut stock set. Stock is marked left side with Defense Acceptance eagle and encircled "P" proof under grip. Green web sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: combination tool with bore brush in buttstock. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear with scattered handling marks throughout. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2314/RW). CURIO. $1,800-2,800.
